NBA Ikeja Welfare Conference 2.0 Holds 9th October As Badagry Tour Sells Out

The Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, is set to host the second edition of its Welfare Conference on Friday, October 9, 2026, at the NBA Ikeja Bar Centre, opposite the High Court, Ikeja.

The conference, themed “Thriving in Law 2.0: Sustaining Excellence in Practice and Life — From Awareness to Action,” will bring members together for meaningful conversations on wellbeing, professional excellence and the practical steps lawyers can take to build more sustainable careers and lives.

Proceedings will commence at 9:00 a.m., with attendance free and open to members.

The Welfare Conference 2.0 builds on the Branch’s continuing commitment to the overall wellbeing of its members, with this year’s edition moving the conversation beyond awareness to practical action. Participants can expect an engaging day of learning, reflection and interaction around the realities of legal practice and the importance of sustaining excellence without neglecting personal wellbeing.

The conference will be followed on Saturday, October 10, 2026, by the much-anticipated NBA Ikeja Welfare Conference Tour to Badagry, designed to offer members an opportunity to unwind, explore the historic city and strengthen professional bonds outside the formal setting of legal practice.

Registration for the Badagry Tour is, however, now officially sold out, with all available spaces fully taken.

The strong response to the tour reflects the excitement surrounding the two-day Welfare Conference experience, which combines learning and professional development on Friday with relaxation, history, bonding and recreation on Saturday.

Members who were unable to secure a place on the Badagry Tour are nevertheless encouraged to attend Friday’s conference, which remains free and open to members.

As the countdown continues, the Branch looks forward to welcoming members to a conference focused not merely on succeeding in practice, but on building the capacity to thrive in law and in life.
