The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ikeja Branch Human Rights Committee will join the global community to commemorate the 77th Anniversary of the International Human Rights Day 2025, with a programme designed to spotlight one of the most pressing issues facing the nation — insecurity.
The event, themed “HUMAN RIGHTS: Our Everyday Essentials,” is scheduled as follows:

- Topic: “The Right to Safety and Security: Addressing Insecurity and Mass Killings in Nigeria Amidst Global Uncertainties”
According to the Human Rights Committee, the programme promises to be highly insightful as it aligns with the overarching theme by highlighting the fundamental human right to safety and security — a right increasingly threatened by widespread insecurity and the disturbing rise in mass killings across the country.
